The Longest Shortest Time

My, How We’ve Grown!

We’re expanding! If you heard our last episode, you’ll know that we recently made a big, exciting change to our show. Up till now, the show has been all about early parenthood—ages zero to three. Actually, when I first launched the podcast it was supposed to only be about the first three months of life!

She's cute, right? But it's just the beginning.

She’s cute, right? And there’s a lot going on. But it’s just the beginning.

My daughter is about to turn five years old, and I am quickly realizing that ALL of parenthood is the longest shortest time. Or that it is just a series of longest shortest times. And if that’s our title, it doesn’t seem right to exclude stories about elementary school kids or teenagers, or even grown children. Hell, let’s tell stories about our own parents!

As our children grow and our parents age, we invite you to grow with our project. Send us your stories. Tell us about the surprising ways YOUR family has struggled. Tell us about your kids’ ideas about the way the world works—we may even invite them on the show!

See? Don't you want to hear about this person too? I can't even imagine what will come next.

To those of you with babies who kinda wish we’d just stay about babies: Yes, we are changing. And on the surface it may seem like a BIG change. But the truth is, you might not notice much of a difference in our show at all! Our bold, daring approach to storytelling will remain the same as ever. Now we just have a larger pot to draw from. And you know what? There’s nothing to make your longest time feel short like a story about a kid older than yours.

So go for it. Tell us YOUR story!
