Above is a visual representation of my longtime editor Peter Clowney doing a thing I’ve come to call “Clowney-ing” me.
Tune in to today’s episode to find out exactly what that means. And get a peek on the editorial process behind some of your favorite episodes, including a burning question Peter had about Terry Gross’s cat, and outtakes from the show. (Hint: Abigail calls one of those outtakes the “Hillary smell reel.”)
We need your voices (and your kids’ voices) on our show!
After you listen, please come back here and give us suggestions of stories that we could match with that story we talk about at the end. I don’t want to give it away.
AND … we need your kids questions about the election. Any kid under voting age. So just get out your phone and do this:
1. Ask them to say their first name, age, and location. (You can do this for them if they are young.)
2. Ask them things like, “What questions do you have about Hillary Clinton?” and “What questions do you have about Donald Trump?” and “What do you want to know about how the election actually works?”
Here are some samples of my daughter’s questions.
We’re collecting these for a future episode, so your child’s voice may wind up on our show! The questions we choose will get answered!
What other ideas do you have for our next season?
Get creative! And don’t worry, Peter won’t Clowney YOU … just us.
