We loved the format so much that we are taking it LIVE, this time with new guests. We are so proud to be co-presenting this event with the wonderful Mater Mea, a website that tells the stories of women of color at the intersection of motherhood and career.
Here’s everything you need to know about the show, including how to submit questions to our experts.
WHAT: Longest Shortest Time host Hillary Frank will facilitate an honest conversation about sex and parenthood with guests Twanna Hines and Dr. Hilda Hutcherson. The guests will be responding to listener questions submitted beforehand *and* live at the event.
WHO: Twanna Hines (Funky Brown Chick) is an award-winning sex educator who has been featured on CNN, NPR, Sirius, and the CBC. She has written for The Huffington Post, The Guardian, and Al Jazeera.
Dr. Hilda Hutcherson is an OB-GYN who has written several books about sex and sexuality including Pleasure and What Your Mother Never Told You About Sex. She is a professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the Director of the Center for Sexual Health at Columbia University. She is also a contributing editor for Redbook and has appeared on Oprah, Today, and Good Morning America.
WHERE: The Greene Space | 44 Charlton Street, New York, NY (corner of Varick Street)
WHEN: Tuesday, October 6th @ 7PM
WHY: Because getting it on after parenthood (or even when planning parenthood!) isn’t easy. And it’s hard to find people who will talk about it in a real, un-sensationalized way. So let’s talk!
COST: $15, includes one complimentary drink; cash bar also available
Are there any limitations to what I can ask?
Nope. You can ask anything at all about sex and parenthood, including trying to conceive and sex after loss. Lots of you told us last time that you were disappointed that we didn’t address your particular issue in the sack. Well, now’s the time to ask.
How do I submit my question?
There are two ways: 1) Press TALK on the Longest Shortest Time iPhone App or 2) record a voice memo with your first name and your question and email it to hello[at]longestshortesttime[dot]com with the subject ADVICE.
